Por el lado positivo, el hotel es bastante bonito, más de lo que se espera. Incluso tiene el río al lado y se puede ver desde la habitación, la cual es cómoda. Además, incluye desayuno.

Por el lado negativo, nos hicieron un cargo temporal en la tarjeta de crédito sin previo aviso y no se por qué, fue en el único hotel de este viaje en que lo hicieron. También habían unos obreros tomando cerveza en el parking que no daba buena impresión al lugar.

We stayed 8 nights here. They have one of the best full breakfasts that I've had at a hotel. Helga, the one taking care of the breakfast area and cooking the food, was very good and attentive to the guests and made sure all the food was replenished in a timely manner and the tables cleaned. The hotel is clean, although old and our room needed a few minor repairs. It was a rainy week, and our room was very humid, with the A/C and bathroom vent not helping to dehumidify. The staff was nice and very helpful if we needed anything. Location was quiet and peaceful, with a creek right by the hotel and a patio outside the breakfast area for enjoying the view. As far as the price, I thought it strange that each of the 8 nights was a different rate, according to how busy the hotel was. I think if you book a week, you should get a predetermined set rate. So, a night for 2 guests averaged out to be $173, which I consider to be expensive. But maybe that's the going rate for the area....

Free upgrade to a room with a very nice view of the Wappinger Creek and woods.
Quiet and clean room. Comfortable beds. Good temperature control. Free breakfast with signature BW waffles. Just one minor issue... the bagels were like stale white bread.

The setting is serene and clean but not “sterile”. Staff is accommodating and friendly. Other visitors were quite interesting…perhaps because of its unique historical element, seclusion of its creek views, waterfalls and birds. We saw a heron, geese, ducks and ducklings, in plain view. Pet friendly, we also met bikers touring the rail trail, retirees visiting friends, curious tourists who were surprised by the area. |Spacious rooms, too!

Very scenic secluded hotel. A little bit out of the way, but worth it. It was very clean with nice sitting areas. It felt naturistic with large picture windows. The air conditioner worked very well compared to most Bets Westerns. We would go again.

The gentleman at the front desk was kind. But the rooms were a disgrace.

There were roaches and bugs on the walls of the first unit we stayed in (217) and the shower floor was damaged with the drain cap insecure. Shower door was rusted and was hard to shut. Fitted sheet on bed had a rip in it and the flannel had stains. The room was dirty. Switches and outlets didn’t function. Coffee machine was filthy. AC wouldn’t turn off.

Then the second room (215) had bugs flying around and crawling on the wall. The shower light didn’t work. Paint peeling on the tub. And black MOLD on the bedroom walls which is a huge health hazard. We had to leave immediately.

This experience was beyond unacceptable.

Staff were very nice. They got us a room with a view of the creek. It needs some upgrades in the building but the room was fine. I would stay there again.
