Rented two bikes for my husband and I for one day over the labor day weekend. The concept of the service is great, but I have a few issues. First is the time allowed between each docking - 30 minutes is simply not enough. We spent about 15 -20 minutes each trip riding and the remaining time looking for a station to avoid the extra fee for going over the 30 minute allowed time. This makes the ride more stressful especially if you don't know the area well enough to quickly find a station. Second, customer service is a hit or miss. We couldn't get the bikes to be released at one station and the customer service rep told us to go to another station - a 10 minute walk - not a huge issue but definitely inconvenient. Another issue we had was the docking station would not take one of the bikes back. We called customer service and was told to go to another station and try to dock the bikes there. It was about 9:30 at night when this happened and we had to ride around to find another docking station and was charged extra for going over the 30 minutes - Definitely a major inconvenience and poor customer service.
Overall, I would not rent from Divvy again and would not recommend it. I gave it two stars for good concept and a couple of customer service reps who tried to help. Otherwise I would've given it one star for poor execution of the concept and customer service reps who were unhelpful.

Be warned if you keep the bikes out for more than 30 minutes you're charged extra fees. This is the shadiest thing I've ever heard of! In the fine print they charge you extra for bikes, so while you think you're only being charged 10/bike/24 hour period - in reality you can really get gouged on pricing!

I never saw it say ANYWHERE you had to return the bikes to the docks every 30 minutes if you were renting them for the day pass. That's truly the biggest scam I've ever heard of!

Divvy Bikes are great - BUT might not be the best option for tourists who want to bike the city. There is a 30 MINUTE LIMIT for each ride. This is pretty explicit, but judging by the comments here, people do not seem to understand this.

I use Divvy for shortening my commute, and I find it absolutely essential. These are a great idea and have really expanded my ability to get around. There are sometimes minor issues with capacity during commuting hours, and the key fob system can be buggy at times (although this has improved dramatically). Overall, I strongly recommend for anyone trying to stretch the transit system or simply for quick trips to the store.

Divvy has the worst customer service. I was in an accident and requested a call from their office to ensure they had the proper information and that the person driving the car that ran into me was going to be charged. It has been 5 days and I have not received even an email from the company.

Customer service is very poor, issues with access to bikes but biggest issue is only a 30 minute rental maximum. It should be 1 hour. To cycle downtown from most suburbs is difficult to do within 30 minutes.

Ótima maneira de conhecer a cidade. Precisa de cartão de crédito para utilizar, e tome cuidado com o horário de devolução senão a conta pode ficar cara.
