I recently came to get some bank statements and Diana Avila was able to help me get all the statements I needed. After getting my statements I asked about their car loan programs. She gave me all the information I needed and started guiding me through the purchase. The car was out of state and a bit more information was needed but with her help she made the process easy and I was able to make my purchase. I would say I had a great experience on how prompt and professional she was.

I've bank with them for several years. My last visit I wants a cd for $500. The staff member refused to process it unless it was $1,000. She stated it was better to wait. They offer $500 CDs. I ended up doing it online with Capital One and got a better rate. I will slowly be switching my business out of Shell.

They have gone down the tubes over the past few years. I don't know if they have new executive management or what it is. Their motto is, "At Shell, you're family." Well, if they think what they're doing has anything to do with being family-oriented, then they are wrong. I lost my job due to the recent hurricane and had to file for unemployment. I received unemployment under the presidential natural disaster declaration. I communicated with Shell and explained my situation, including my efforts to catch up with my finances. I actually got caught up, and then they increased my payment on my Jeep, taking it from $442 to $724. They added some insurance protection add-on to the loan that I've had for about four years. Just before the hurricane, I got a divorce. I gave my wife the Jeep and said I would continue to pay for it to help her get on her feet. I also said that I would pay for the insurance on it for six months, and then she could take over the insurance, while I would continue making the payments. Well, Shell says that's not okay and that I need to have insurance on it because the loan is mainly in my name, even though I'm paying for everything. We provided them with documentation and the binder showing that my wife has full coverage on the Jeep.

So, get this: I'm making my regular payments, but because I won't pay the extra on the payment packing, Shell has frozen my account twice, forcing me to fight to get my account unfrozen. They lock up all the cards and all my money and any transfers because I am not paying the added fees they put on the loan after four years of payment packing. I know that this is not ethical, and I very well think it's not legal, so I am going to continue to explore means to expose them for the payment packing. Hopefully, others who have been affected in the same way can come together, and maybe we can make a difference for others through legal means.
