This is a scam! Don’t sign up with them. I signed up to help my credit which was fine the 1st couple of years until my auto payment wasn’t working anymore. Apparently I needed to re input my account info which I did. But after I re input my info, auto payment was no longer an option and I had to manually make payments each month. Which I did. Creditstrong accepted my payment and sent emails saying it was received. But then a few days later they send me a new message saying payment failed and payment was returned. The catch with that is that each time a payment is returned credit strong charges a return fee of $14. Keep in mind that my monthly payment is only $15. That’s literally taking my loan payment away and them pocketing it. My bank account number never changed and I had to authorize it everytime I had to make a payment. Credit strong wasn’t accepting my payment on purpose so they can activate that return fee on me. The company is a scam, and shouldn’t be operating. They prey on ppl trying to improve their credit and their lives. It’s better to start with a secured credit card than to sign up with credit strong.

This place is running a fraudulent scam. They have this product called credit strong, which basically is like a secured savings account where you can have money deducted from your bank account. It reports to your credit bureau. They take $350 a month out of your checking account and they seize, about 50% interest so if you have them take out $1000 over three months and then close your account you’ll be lucky to get back 500 bucks. These people should be shut down by the state banking commission.

I am writing to formally dispute the inaccurate late payment information being reported for the above-referenced account on my credit report for the month of June 2024. Despite my timely payment for June 2024, the account has been inconsistently reported as late, causing significant damage to my credit score.

On multiple occasions, I have contacted Austin Capital Bank to verify my account status and understand why it is inaccurately reflecting late payments. Each time I filed a dispute with the credit bureau, the reported late payment for June 2024 was deleted, then reappeared as late for July 2024, only to be deleted and re-reported again for June 2024. This inconsistency is unacceptable and unsubstantiated.

On February 25, 2025, I spoke with your representative, Jerome, who initially stated that the account should reflect a late payment for June 2024. However, when I questioned why the late payment for June 2024 is reported as late for July 2024 on my credit report, Jerome contradicted himself and claimed that the account should indeed be reported late for July 2024 instead of June 2024. It appears that Jerome changed his statement based on my inquiry rather than on factual information.

Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), 15 U.S. Code § 1681i, consumer reporting agencies and furnishers of information are required to follow reasonable procedures to ensure the accuracy of the information they report. Specifically, if the completeness or accuracy of any item of information is disputed by the consumer, the agency must conduct a reasonable reinvestigation to determine whether the disputed information is inaccurate and record the current status of the disputed information or delete the item from the file within 30 days. Austin Capital Bank's failure to accurately report my payment history and the inconsistent reporting of late payments violates these provisions.

Additionally, I have filed a case against Austin Capital Bank SSB with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), the Florida Attorney General, and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) for fraud due to the continuous inaccuracies and lack of resolution on this matter.

The ongoing misreporting of this issue, including reporting the late payment in July, then removing it, and re-reporting it in June each time this fraudulent activity occurs, has caused my credit score to drop 50 points. This issue has caused substantial emotional distress, hindered my financial opportunities, and threatened my ability to manage daily responsibilities and maintain a stable quality of life. As a result of the damages caused by this inaccurate reporting, I am filing a small claim against Austin Capital Bank SSB for the following:

Emotional Distress: $10,000

Financial Opportunities Lost: $5,000

Legal Fees: $2,000

Total Damages: $17,000

If the issue is not resolved, I demand that Austin Capital Bank remove their tradeline from my credit report. The inconsistent reporting is adversely affecting my credit score. Enclosed, please find a copy of my credit report showing the continuous erroneous information.

This letter serves as a legal warning. Any further inaccuracies will be used against your institution in a court of law. I require a detailed explanation as to why the account is repeatedly reported inaccurately and request that you either update the payment status to "Paid on Time, Never Late" or remove the tradeline from my credit report entirely.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. I look forward to your swift resolution to correct my credit report.

Scam company. I hired credit strong to restore my credit score. I was not told by credit strong that they were going to take a loan out for themselves all they told me was their services cost $15 a month and I agreed to pay it. At 10 month I canceled the service because at 5 months they where not making progress. Their service did not make any significant gain and after I canceled I learned from a major decrease in my credit score that Austin capital bank was the loaning bank to credit strong for $1,000 I never knew about. I never did business with Austin capital bank and they damaged my credit score significantly by reporting false information about me owing them money. They violated my consumer rights and my fair credit reporting act rights. I contact them this month to dispute their claims and they negligently asserted that the information reported to the credit bureaus was accurate upon their investigation. They are fake

DO NOT GET THEIR CREDIT Card applying through credit karma!!!!
They tell you it has a high credit line and end up giving you $500 with an annual fee of $125 ITS A SCAM!!!!
I have a great credit score and if I had known I’ll get a $500 credit line when all my credit cards are at a minimum of $8k and up I would have NEVER done it. Do yourselves the favor and don’t fall for this crap because once you have it you just hurt yourself cancelling the POS credit card.

Credit strong has been awesome for me! I had the account for over 2 years, it did report to my credit every month on time and helped increase my score! When I was ready to close my account it was a very fast secure process! Thanks credit strong!💪

The only experience I've had with this company is their Credit Strong program. It's a great program that helps you build credit. I currently have the Revolv account and I have seen good improvement in my credit score and I've started recovering from mistakes I made with my credit when I was younger. The ability to cancel anytime or even just set my monthly payment to $0 is a great perk that ensures that I'm not gonna get in a position where I can't pay it and have to have it tank my credit.

It's a great program and I recommend it to anyone trying to build credit.
