My jeep stopped on me in Michigan, I got it towed here. Sam helped us out so much. He let me keep my truck there for a week until I was able to drive back. John and the team were awesome in taking care of my 2017 ford. I took it in for an engine leak, they found other issues and had to take the engine out of the car. i needed my car for the weekend and they pushed to get it to me in time. After picking it up I realized I was having some issues with the electronics, John was super understanding and had me bring it back in the next week. They found another leak, an issue with the vacuum pump, and a loose bearing on one of the wheels. They took care of it all in a day and John was super kind and offered me a discount for having to bring it back in. Every one was super transparent and professional throughout both visits and I really appreciate all their help!

So my wife and I were driving across country from California to a family reunion in Pennsylvania when our engine shut down south of Lansing on highway 127 late in the afternoon. A tow from AAA got us to Auto-Lab in Lansing where we were told our F-150 had a blown water pump. We were informed that we would have to spend the night in the area as the pump would have to be ordered but we were also promised that the repair would be done the next morning. We were given an estimate for the installation of a new water pump. We booked a hotel room and one of the mechanics said it was on his way home so he would drop us off at our hotel!

The next morning we got an Uber back to Auto-Lab and sure enough the pump was being installed. So we went across the street to a cafe for breakfast and by the time we were done the truck was ready and had already been taken out for a test drive. On top of that the mechanic had steam-cleaned the engine! After 120k miles it had never looked so good!

The cost was as quoted the day before and more than fair for the quick service and incidentals. We were back on the road as promised in plenty of time to get to PA. If we lived in the Lansing area, Auto-Lab would no doubt be our mechanics.

Great service. Honest and helpful. I went in for an alignment and oil change for my 1997 Toyota T-100. I was advised that the chambers, casters, and toes needed to be replaced. He gave me a printout of those parts on my truck. I didn't have time to wait for parts to come in because I was leaving in two days to return to my home in New Mexico. I will have these parts replaced in New Mexico. I'm so grateful for the information. He could have lied to me by saying it was not safe to drive 1,500 miles without replacing the parts. He didn't. I'm thrilled to have found a professional man treat me respectfully and honestly. Thank you! I also got the groupon coupon for this service. It's wonderful!

I cannot say enough nice things about Auto-Lab! My car was perfectly fine until one day my engine stalled while I was driving down the road but everything else stayed on. I ended up bringing it to Auto-Lab and they weren’t able find anything during their inspection and my car wasn’t throwing a code. And instead of saying, “oh well it could be this or that” and have me pay for what might be the problem they instead offered to keep my car for a week or so and drive it everyday when they needed to get parts in the hopes it would stall again, at no additional cost to me. After about 5-6 days of them driving it, it finally stalled on them and threw a code. They were able to find the issue, fix it and give it back to me working. John and his coworkers were so amazing and I will never take my cars anywhere else!

Quoted $153.23 for a used wheel on my 05 chevy (avg price is $25-60) and an additional $67.13 for the labor to replace it after a minor accident. This was part of a $900 estimate to fix my car, claiming that my flat tire was salvageable, but it appears they drove it up on the rack on the flat instead of using the spare in the trunk, which can cause more damage.
When I asked them over the phone about the condition of my bent tie rod on the same side (which was previously confirmed by two other mechanics), they stated they did not see anything. They said they would check again, and I did not receive any calls back.
I understand shops can be busy. However, I am disappointed by the lack of communication and quality of work. The cost just to get it on the rack and checked was $67.12, and I expected them to take better care of my car because of that.
Editing to add: I went to Budget Tire to get a second opinion. The inner and outer tie rods were damaged, and the control arm was not. I am glad I moved to a different shop, as this could have meant me getting seriously hurt.

They didn't tried to upsell me. They fixed my stripped oil drain plug(and did an oil change), and also performed the alignment properly. The fella at the counter was really friendly.

I used a groupon for my oil change and my alignment, but the manager told me they will give anyone the same price as the groupon deal if the customer calls/comes into the store and asks, but that the store receives more actual profit than through the groupon. Cuts out the middle man.
