Went and got my car detailed here. The detailing was absolutely amazing, they did such a phenomenal job! Beyond happy, it looked as good as the day i got it, BRAND NEW!! I recently purchased two Hummer EVs from Baker Auto in Hudsonville, and my experience was far from satisfactory. While Brian Hamilton, the salesman, is a nice guy, the overall service and process left a lot to be desired.
Here are the main issues I encountered:
1. Paperwork Disaster
The paperwork process was an absolute mess. I never received any proper documentation for either transaction, and important details were mishandled multiple times.
2. Missing Keys and Items
Both trucks were delivered without extra keys. To make matters worse, I was given other people's keys, garage door openers, ketchup packets, salt, and even business cards in the vehicles. Basic items like the manual and the tool for the top roof were also missing.
3. Dirty, Used Appearance
When I took delivery of the trucks, they looked used and hadn’t been cleaned. From ketchup packets to napkins, it was clear that no one had bothered to inspect or clean the vehicles properly.
4. Unfulfilled Add-ons
I paid for a sports package as an add-on, but it has been over two months, and I still haven’t received what I paid for. Only the front flaps were installed, with no explanation about the missing back ones. I had to chase down answers myself. Additionally, the emblems I paid for were shipped and lost at the dealership, and when I finally located them, they were damaged. New ones had to be ordered again.
5. Vehicle Issues
The new truck was missing a cap on the front shroud piece. These issues, along with the incomplete flaps, remain unresolved months later.
6. Poor Delivery Process
The drivers who delivered my vehicles were unprofessional and unorganized. They forgot to have me sign paperwork until I reminded them and even failed to take my check until I pointed it out. This lack of attention to detail is concerning.
7. Unorganized and Slow Follow-ups
Follow-ups have been excruciatingly slow, and communication is poor. Brian lost my plan numbers twice, and it takes ages to get anything resolved.
8. Payment Concerns
The dealership only accepted a check and would not take a credit card. This felt shady, especially since I would have preferred to dispute the sports package charge given the unfulfilled promises.

Had a issue with Glen. Not sure of his position. He charged me for work that was not authorized. I disputed it with him and he told me "We have to pay our techs" Disputed it with the manager and he took it off the bill. Watch out... Little stinkers work here. Wish i could give it 0 stars for being unethical

Betten Baker in Grandville, MI is absolutely the worst body shop to ever go to. I wouldn't even give them one star right now, which is being generous. If you take your vehicle there you will experience one delay after another. For one, dont ever expect to get your vehicle back in any expected time frame. There is just one excuse after another that they will come up with.

First off Harvey indicated that it would only take about 2 weeks to get the parts in and have the repair shop fix and completed with body work as well. Yeah, started out at Thanksgiving in November of 2023. 2.5 months later and there is still issues with the vehile and it not being completed per the attached screen shot. I got the excuse that they couldn't fix a Chevy Tahoe because of "parts" being delayed. It wasn't true because they didn't want to use 3rd party parts and only OEM is what they used.

They blamed it on StateFarm regarding it was their "estimators" fault because they didn't include all the part that were required. This caused another set of parts to be ordered for a 2nd attempt. And after that was done, this also happend a 3rd time when they couldn't get all the parts listed for what was needed. The estimator would only put down exactly what the body shop indicated needed to be included. So it was 100% the body shops fault.

Good luck at trying to call them when you are looking for status updates. I had to get the "Sales" manager involved at the other building because nobody would return my calls. They indicated, "Oh we have been having trouble with our phones." 3 months earlier then that I heard the same excuse from the Service Department as well.

Then they wouldn't even let me pick up the vehicle because they didn't even get paid yet. StateFarm issued two checks over 14 days ago to this location. The body shop indicated that StateFarm sent to the checks to the wrong location and it needed to be sent to Hudsonville. (Totally doesn't make sense as to why this is the case.)

When I went to pick up the vehicle the body shop manager was relly sick, went into the bathroom, then came back out and 150% had a cold and shouldn't be around other people at the time. (Including his own employees for safety.)

Just got the vehicle back today and this is the "quality" of work that is performed there. I would suggest "NEVER" waste your time or money taking your vehicle to this company. You will absolutely regret it.
