Esto funciona así.
Tienes que meter tu tarjeta de crédito, puedes rentar una o dos bicis por 24 horas o tres días.

Puedes usar la bici por 30minutos máximo y regresarla a una estación y tomar otra por otros 30minutos.
Sino regresas la bici empieza a correr una penalización.

Cuando metas la tarjeta te darán un código el cual tienes que digitar en la base de la bicicleta, ojo, las que tienen un foco rojo no se pueden ocupar.

En conclusión, LO RECOMIENDO TOTALMENTE.

Between myself and two clients, we all put a total of about 75 miles on Citi Bikes in a day. When I consider that, it was pretty much a success. The program in general is a nice idea, but not without flaws.

For starters, it wasn't clear there were two bike options: an e-bike (the gray ones), and the standard blue ones. We didn't realize that, and after a few 30 min trips, we started to wonder why we were getting extra charges after having bought the unlimited day pass. We never saw any explanation of that ahead of time, and it was through some troubleshooting and trial and error we had to figure that out on our own. While the e-bikes were exceptionally convenient, apparently they aren't included in the day pass, and you have to pay extra for them.

It was also extra tricky for some of us to get the app situation figured out to even know how to pay and check a bike out to begin with. Note that we all work in the tech world, and I'm even a software developer, so I don't feel like we weren't at least the average demographic, it was just a poor user interface.

We also ended up with 2 bikes that had flat tires over the course of the day, one bike's seat would adjust, and one or two seemed to have gearing issues. Overall, not bad, though, considering how much we rode.

After a few 30 min trips, we were able to work out the kinks, and we ended up renting bikes off and on the rest of the day. Super cool way to explore the city, and we loved every minute.

While there were lots of great pros, it's hard to overlook the glaring cons. Needs to get sorted out.

Francamente non mi è piaciuto per niente .... ti noleggiato la bici a seconda del tempo che tu decidi . Io per esempio l ho presa per tutto il giorno ? Solo che sei obbligato a cambiarla ogni 30 minuti ...per cui bisogna studiarsi bene i check point in cui si trovano le stazioni ed arrivarci entro 30 minuti . Io l ho presa a central park e francamente , essendo un parco immenso dopo la prima mezz'ora ho posato la bici per non smaciunarmi il cervello dallo stress e ho proseguito a piedi godendomi la bella giornata di sole ed il parco ovviamente .

The convenience is great. Lots of kiosks around and they do a decent job of trying to reallocate bikes to where they are most needed. Their maintenance seems to have improved. I've been getting fewer bikes recently that are unrideable. although I have been getting more than my share of bikes with no third gear however. If they could fix that they'd be truly awesome.

The bike program is a great idea but the system is awful. These bikes need built-in u-locks so they can be parked anywhere the user wants safely while out and about during the day. The idea of checking in every 30 minutes or trying to find parking when coming home is outright ridiculous & similar to the stress of driving my car. I just watched my daughter arrive at the 110th Street & 7th Avenue station to find only one dock to leave the bike & it was broken. We then rode all the way to 110th & Madison and no docks were available, then she rode all the way to 106th street and CPW to find a free dock. We won't be doing that again. Just awful. It's now 11pm. Close to an hour of up & down just to find a way to return the bike that was also peddling slow as hell. I'd rather buy her a bike to sit near mine in our small cramped NYC apartment. Smdh
