I was shopping around for a personal loan for a roofing project. I think I was routed to a call center and not someone specifically at the branch, but the guy I spoke to was pushy and rude. I said I wanted to see if they offered lower rates than what I saw online and mentioned the rates I had seen. He acted like that was possible and asked if I wanted to start an application. I went ahead and did because I wasn't planning on doing many hard inquiries, plus it sounded like he could beat the rate I saw. Well, he then proceeded to quote a rate almost double what I mentioned, and I was like huh? He then wouldn't let me get a word in and started talking to me like I didn't understand how loans worked, trying to sell me on a low payment for longer at a higher rate. When I reiterated what I was looking for, he then tried selling me on a loan transfer for one of my credit card balances which is barely anything but happens to be at a higher rate. He would barely listen to me and kept making dumb offers as if I don't have basic financial literacy. He then got impatient and mad that I wasn't stupid and became condescending, telling me that I shouldn't have applied if I already had a lower rate I don't know about car/mortgage here, but if you are shopping personal, just go with Lightstream online and don't waste your time here.

I have had a Community Choice account for over 20 years! Absolutely love them. Always friendly and helpful. And mobile banking has made it easy to keep my account even though I no longer live near a branch. I've worked with the same banker (Melissa) forever, she is never been anything but helpful. More of a personal hometown feeling than a corporate bank. All around wonderful experience.

Absolutely love banking with this credit union. I have been banking with them now for over 5 years and would never go anywhere else. The workers are always very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.
