This Credit Union has helped me out in building my financial needs in so many ways. It was a short process of opening a membership account and submitting a loan request. A great place to start off when you need financial assistance! It can be hard and not everyone understands when it comes to credit or refinancing your vehicle for a lower interest rate, and they are always available to go over every detail.

I would give it a rating of less than one star if I could. Poor management is the subject of my review. I've been banking with Community Promise for years, and every time I have to deal with Angie, I get a terrible customer experience. She is ineffective at customer service, lacks empathy, and brushes off consumer complaints because they aren't received well. There hasn't been any change in her disrespectful behavior because it has been accepted for years. She treats the staff as though they are beneath her and has fired workers at the front counter. I stopped recommending this bank because of her. However, she is now damaging my credit by blocking me from using shared banking because she wants to FORCE me to visit the branch. I told her that I couldn't make it to the bank because I was in a car accident, but why should they make things easy for their customers? Angie is dishonest and has a thing against customers of African American descent.

They are always closing without notice. Several times I've been either late paying a bill or just plain broke for the weekend because they were unknowingly closed. The staff, what staff there is, is friendly enough. But only being open 3 days a week and randomly closing is awful! I'm definitely on the verge of closing my account and going elsewhere.

To open a savings account, the credit union is running a credit check. That credit check is a hard inquiry that brings your score down about 2 to 3 points and it last for two years.
