I usually don’t have any issues with DOCFU until today. I’ve had my auto loan with them since 2019 always paid my loan every two weeks with no issues. I called today to find out why my due date wasn’t advance to March 2025 as the payment I just made was to clear out February’s payment. I always try to be a month ahead just in case . Just to be told that there was an email sent awhile back that loans will no longer be advance if additional payment is made, it will be applied directly to the loan balance.

As soon as this loan is paid off I will be closing my membership

Pretty sure this bank should be shut down by now. We have a recreational loan for an RV with DOCFCU, that got stolen and seized by the federal govt, we were told the payments would be paused and it wouldn't go to collections because we had federal paperwork and insurance agent help. The situation dragged on months and the communication for federal agents, myself and the insurance people to communicate with this bank was so so poor. I had federal agents asking me why no one from the bank would answer them. I was embarrassed to be apart of this bank. Finally when the vehicle was released, and I could make payments again, they without my knowledge sent my loan to collections. But when I called collections they said the bank hadn't released the file... again 2 more months of bad communication. I've been working with credit people to help get this resolved and just found out that this bank kept my credit line open for the same amount as well as sending it to collections so it is actually ruining my credit by DOUBLE the loan amount.
I'm furious that a bank can even operate with such unprofessionalism and as immorally as they are.
I would stray away as far as possible from these people

I have to agree with the other reviews about this credit union. The customer service is really bad. It seems the service and professionalism went out the door after Evan Clark (former President and CEO) left/retired. Working with the consumer lending is a headache. They don’t call you when you’ve been approved and they take forever to send you your documents to be signed for funding. I had a few issues when I was on maternity leave and receiving payment from an insurance company with them putting my checks on extended holds and when I called to explain what the checks were and providing stubs it was almost as if I was irritating the staff. The only good thing about this credit union is the gentleman that works in mortgage lending, Edmond. He is really pleasant and a delight to work with. This is my primary bank, but I am getting fed up with them and deciding to go to USAA or Navy Federal. I’ve had enough of Commerce’s unprofessionalism and carelessness.

If I could give I zero I would. What ever you do, dont use DOCFCU!! Worst credit union around. Out dates, all females, no male workers, very very poor communications and even worse customer service. From top to bottom this places needs to be shut down, all loans transferred to a different provider. They don't have the resources or fund to updated their computer system and website, the VP will call you and tell you everything will be fine, knowing that your screwed. At this point, I will no longer be making any payments and looking forward to litigations

Was preapproved for a loan. It took a week or more to get the paperwork...that's after me calling. I then have questions regarding the loan and paperwork...I cant get anyone on the phone. When I do...they cant help me because they don't work for the loan department. I just don't understand, this should be a rally easy process. I have good credit, a great loan history with the credit union, and I make more than enough to alleviate any fears about repayment...smh. Super disappointed. Lending tree it is....smh.

My experience is similar to another review, where I opened my account years ago…when it was just WHFCU. Customer service was great and matters were handled in a timely manner.

I just recently had fraud on my debit card. I was notified after it happened which is fine, I guess. My card was locked and I was told to just “wait” 10 days while they investigate! I’m not ashamed to say that, unfortunately I’m on a fixed income…broke! My account was wiped out and they wanted me to wait…with no funds and no explanation.

So, a few days later, I became a headache and asked why I wasn’t provided provisional funds. No one could give me an answer. Everyone I spoke to (at first) seemed friendly and empathetic, but couldn’t provide help and I kept getting the run around (off and on from 11am - 3pm) I finally asked for a supervisor. I don’t think I was ever transferred to one but I did speak to a young lady in card services that was very nice/nasty with no empathy. I remained calm because my money was finally being returned to me. I am, however, in the process of choosing another credit union.

Used to be a good bank, but now they keep putting restrictions on my account even though I've let them know multiple times that I live in a foreign country. The app is also outdated, I'll start looking for a new bank.

The loan payment process (from loan closure to applying principal only payments) is the most cumbersome I've experienced with any bank or credit union. I would not recommend using this FCU in any circumstance.
