I stopped by the Howell Huntington Bank (in front of Meijer's) around 9:30 AM the other day to take care of a Required Minimum Distribution from an IRA-CD. After a short wait, I spoke with a teller who quickly recognized that Keenan would be the best person to assist me. As he approached, she asked if he could help, and without hesitation, he said, "Absolutely."

Keenan was professional, efficient, and knowledgeable. He asked a few clarifying questions, entered the necessary information into the system, stepped away briefly, and returned with the completed paperwork and check—all without any hassle. The entire process was seamless, straightforward, and handled with the kind of expertise that’s hard to come by these days.

I don’t know what they’re paying you, Keenan, but it’s not enough!

I live in New Jersey and I was watching TV and saw a broadcast on Greta Van Susteren regarding a Branch Manager, Terri Estepp who was terminated for taking leave to help her daughter who was sadly battling Triple Negative Breast Cancer. I believe her daughter Samantha was 31 years old when she lost her fight to Cancer. From what I gathered from the broadcast Terri had used straight vacation time in 2023 to help care for her daughter in California and when 2024 hit she began utilizing the Family Care Act which she had used 7 of 10 days. She was terminated on April 30, 2024 and still had PTO time. Her tetmination was unjustified in my opinion and it was wrong. It was stated Terri was a stellar employee with 28 years at the bank which was known as TCF BANK and that was bought by Huntington Bank and had now been run by Huntington Bank. She had different roles at the bank but for the most part she was the Branch Manager for 20 years. I watched this broadcast 2x because I couldn't believe what I had been hearing. The audacity of this bank to terminate a vested and stellar employee because her daughter was sick with advanced Breast Cancer and needed her help. They clearly had zero grounds to do this and it was a grossly savage and insensitive thing to do. I do not recommend anyone to do banking with Huntington Bank in Howell, Michigan. They do not deserve to work with anyone and help them with their banking. I hope people saw this and I hope they take their banking somewhere else, because a bank who treats employees this way during such a devastating, stressful and uncertain time is absolutely disgusting. I hope the justice system works for Terri and her family. Cancer does not discriminate and what Terri and her family went through and for her to lose employment when she had the right to utilize the Family Medical Leave Act was a heinous and unjust act. Many have seen loved ones, friends or just heard of someone battling Cancer and it is not easy to deal with or hear about. To be terminated because you didn't choose work over your sick/ dying child is obsurb. I pray for Terri and her family and I hope the justice system does well and goes after this bank as savagely as they treated Terri. Please consider using a different bank. If they would treat a fantastic employee this way, how would they treat you giving them your business. Remember Terri worked there 28 years and this is how she was treated as a STELLAR employee. There are so many banks out there, I advise ALL to look elsewhere. I send love, strength and prayers to the Estepp family and my deepest condolences on the passing of your coragious, beautiful daughter. God bless them and as far as this bank I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE UTILIZING THEM AS THEY HAVE ZERO MORALS, VALUES OR APPRECIATION FOR ANYONE.

Heard you fired someone after 30 years of good service because she wanted to spend time with her dying daughter. That's sick.

Let's hope no other worker has a dying relative, this branch fires people for relatives who pass away.

If a bank cannot provide documentation of its fee structure, it cannot have my money. You either know your products or not and it appears the staff does not. I am not confident in their ability to be good stewards of my funds. There are many financial institutions to choose from; I encourage everyone to seek out knowledgeable financial partners.

You should have stayed downtown. Your bank is still an excellent bank but this branch has gone to the underworld.

Jennifer and Michelle aren't there anymore, and the people who are there aren't very pleasant. They get all stressed about your banking no matter what you are doing. Lines take forever, only have two tellers up at one time.

We can't walk to the bank from our homes anymore, we have to drive two miles to the busy road of Grand River Avenue and take forever to turn left just to walk into a bank to take forever to get to you and then be all stressed out and moody about us being there
