I have a magnetic sign on the back of my red Toyota Tundra that says”I SUPPORT LAW ENFORCEMENT, FIRST RESPONDERS AND US MILITARY AND VETERANS!!!” and it recently came off my truck so I figured I had lost it forever but Patty and Tom, the owners of Kalkaska Car Wash had noticed it came off in the car wash when i went thru and I didn’t notice until I was heading downstate for a hockey tournament for my youngest daughter. They picked it up and put it on their metal door at the car wash and as I was paying for another car wash I saw it on their door and called them to thank them for saving it for me. They are a class act establishment 👏👏👏👊

Let's clarify! Yes Let's! Since the owner seems to want to shed some light on a crappy situation that happened at his business yesterday, I'm here to share some enlightenment! As a witness that was actually there, here's the rest of the story. Jon Cotton may not have been in the right but you sir painted a nice warm fuzzy picture of yourself that is dead wrong! The other vehicle was not waiting 20 minutes. When this other vehicle pulled in there was actually an open bay but they chose to go vacuum out their vehicle first. It's great you have signs posted but when we got there Jon was the only other vehicle there. No one was waiting! The business owner did NOT politely ask Jon to leave. He said and I quote "Get the hell out of my bay". Owner admitted this statement over the phone. Jon did not continue to polish his tires, he was collecting his stuff to leave. It certainly takes one to know one when calling someone rude. You projected that quite well with your lack of professionalism to a paying customer. Jon's review on your business was only prompted due to your rudeness so good job on that. Courtesy can absolutely work both ways. Maybe show a little to your customers and it will project back onto your business! This used to be my favorite car wash but luckily there are others in town. Our family will gladly go where we feel appreciated! Buh-Bye!

I used to love using this car wash until I had made contact with Patty. Terrible customer service, very rude and inconsiderate. I will never spend my hard earned money to people that treat their customers like trash. I highly recommend going to the Green Mitt in Traverse or use the Casino gas stations FREE vacuums!

Pretty good for the most part, except that the dryer could start after the wash ends. Well kept. **Updated equipment! 6-15-24

Always used this car wash until today. I had washed my truck and was doing some smaller detailing after trying to get it ready for prom when I was approached by a guy who off the rip was very rude telling me to get out of his bay because there was someone waiting (one car outside that looked vacant from where I was so I didn’t think there way anyone waiting). And how he was trying to make a living. So I apologized and said I will leave and as I was picking up my stuff to leave he was still nagging at me to leave asking “well what are you doing?”. So I said sorry sir and proceeded to leave. If the man had simply just asked me to move or leave because there was someone waiting politely I would have just said sorry about that and moved but it was instant rudeness and was very unprofessional. So they have just lost multiple customers including the other who were there and witnessed it.

Best place to wash your car, everything works in the bays. Owners maintain their facility.
