Four times on different occasion before leaving to go on vacation overseas...I informed them where I will be traveling and for how long so I can use my credit card, ATM and debit card overseas.
The day before flying out, I swing by the bank in person to double checked with them and made sure I won't have any issues to access my money overseas. I was told you are good to go!
Lo and behold, while overseas with a 9 hour difference ahead... My credit card was declined, I couldn't access the ATM or use my debit card. I couldn't reach the bank for help with that issue.
I am extremely angry at Kinetic credit Union for how they've mislead me. I was so embarrassed and humiliated, and left stranded with no access to my money in a foreign land.
They need to have competent employee. That's really substandard!!!!!!!

Update to my last post.
This bank is absolutely the worst. When I first became a member they told me about the card valet app to where I can lock my card and funds wouldn’t come out. For some reason even tho I lock my card funds still come out. I called the number today because while I was sleep they took money out of my account but didn’t send alerts. I told the lady that I didn’t know one of the places in the account and she told me “it’s under your account in your name so it must be you” then told me I would have to pay $35 plus a written statement in order for me to get my money back. Highly unreasonable why do I have to pay to get my money back if I done recognize the transaction. The transaction has never been in my account before until last night. I will be moving to a new bank.

I have called the number on the back of the card multiple times so someone can explain to me why when I lock my card funds are still able to come out EVEN IF THERE ARE NO PENDING CHARGES. I spoke to two different people using the number and one told me that they can’t tell me purchases on my card just can only out fraud on them and the other one had a nasty attitude because I couldn’t understand him. I may just go ahead and pull my money out of this account because this is ridiculous.

I cancelled my bank card. Two days later charges for Cash App and Doordash was on my history statement. I called six times was transferred twice. No one would help or reverse the charges. I went into the bank I explained to the Rep at the front desk. She gave a small paper and told me to call the number on the page. No help. 8 days go by. I continued to call and finally I go back in. It took a good cussing and threats to close my account before the charges was reversed.

Since so much is automated I was pleasantly surprised at the customer service I received. Everyone from start to finish of my transaction was very helpful friendly and efficient. Every step was clearly explained throughout the entire process. Will definitely use Kinetic for any other financial needs.

Manager wasn't willing to help my friend by printing something from her email. Nor did he offer opening up an account as a solution. I will not be returning nor will I suggest this bank to anyone!

Had a great experience today. Started a small loan application for a vehicle for my son but I got distracted by a phone call. Later, Hannah Miller called and was able to finish the application and had it funded as soon as I signed the papers. Great to work with.
