We're new to Ludington and the neighbors suggested Lakeshore when we had some problems with my '98 Durango.
Just before Thanksgiving - I just had it towed into the shop and asked them to get it going and we worked out the details on the phone - they diagnosed and fixed the problem and charged a really fair price.

Just a few weeks later my 2014 Durango started having problems and they got it diagnosed, fixed and back to me in just a few days. Again - job well done and fairly priced.

These folks are knowledgable - friendly - professional and really good at their job. The price is really fair also. I'm looking forward to taking my trucks in for maintenance and not repairs in the future.

While on vacation in Ludington our truck had an issue involving the coolant and air conditioning shutting off. Desperate to find someone to fix it we called Lakeshore Auto after many phone calls for a repair. They were super friendly and even though extremely busy offered for us to drop it off. Within one hour it was diagnosed, everything explained and repaired in a timely manner.. We highly recommend this place. Beyond friendly, understanding, prompt and went over and above to help us. Not to mention very reasonable.

So have to say this is a class act! I have owned an Auto facility for 39 yrs in Illinois and also do some consulting. My experience from the beginning was spot on. I had a flat on a Ram 2500. Jeff their service mgr took care of me. Jeff was very pleasant to deal with and very knowledgeable. The staff is very technical with certified technicians at some of the highest levels. While camping at the State Park in Ludington, the transmission went out on my 2015 Chevy Silverado. After seeing a 5-star rating for Lakeshore Automotive & Tire online, I called them and was told they could work on my truck after Labor Day. They were professional and very helpful in explaining exactly what work needed to be done, as well as keeping me updated on he progress of the work. I am very pleased with this company and would highly recommend this business.

So far so good. Found you on Google. Called and had an informative conversation with Rich. There was no pressure from him to bring the vehicle to them. Made me trust him, so we had the car towed there. The next day, the car was repaired. Needed a new starter. A charge for "TESTING LEVEL 1 TEST" was $136. Not sure what that is- diagnosis maybe? Seemed costly to me given that I was spending another $450 on the starter replacement, but honestly, this may be standard. Overall, I really appreciated my interaction with Rich and his team.

Jeff and Corey were incredibly friendly and customer-service minded. They checked my anti-freeze (which was in good condition), and put 40 lbs of pressure in my tires. It took all of 15 minutes, and they did not charge me. Very honorable.

These guys are the best. After reading other reviews they save a lot of us campers. My car wouldn't start out at the National Forest. My tow truck driver called Lakeshore. They could look at my car right away and had a loaner for us! They were nice, honest, and clearly wanted the best for us. I highly recommend them to anyone camping and just living in the Ludington area.
