I read some negative reviews; our experience was completely different. We were on the way to the UP from the Detroit area when my relative's Explorer belt disintegrated. The dash lit up like a Christmas tree. We were near this Ford dealership and went directly there. It was near the end of the day and they were busy but Alex the service manager came out and diagnosed the problem. We tried to talk them into working overtime and we would pay. They politely declined. They gave us a ride to a nearby hotel and told us they would call in morning. They called at 9 am. They came and picked us up!!!! They open at 8!!!!!!! Wow. Wow. Wow! Great service, great attitude. Thanks for wonderful customer service!

If you live in this area then I have my sympathy if you have to deal with these people. We are from Canada and yesterday blew the water pump on the F250. This service manager when contacted didn't even want to talk to us or offer any help. Ended up being got back on the road by George's Body Shop, Inc who provided unbelievable helpful service. If we had to rate them it would be minus whatever the lowest rating is. I will be sending a copy of this rating to Ford Motor Company as I was an employee for 35 years and know who to raise stink of this useless rude dealership.

These guys were great! We six and two dogs were enjoying St. Ignace two hours from home when our Explorer fan belt disintegrated. We went to the nearest Ford dealer, and the mechanic was about to leave for the holiday. We waited while they checked for parts, ordered them delivered immediately and then replaced the belt and checked for any problems that caused the belt to be destroyed, all within 2 hours and for a very reasonable price. We were so thankful Mackinac Sales took care of us!

I can only speak of my personal experience, which was very positive. The owner, Paul, was very friendly, and I ended up very satisfied with the transaction. He gave me a fair price for my trade-in. And I’m very pleased with the vehicle I bought, I would highly recommend this small dealership.

The most time wasting experience we have had in an auto repair shop. Missed something very wrong and quoted us less than it was. Then admitted they missed it and discounted a bit. Took the vehicle home and parked it for 2 days. The next time we drove it the OTHER wheel bearing was so bad the wheel was wobbling. Took it back and they made us wait 3 days before they would fix it. When they fixed it they acted as though the issue wasn't missed the first time we well but wheel bearings don't go bad in 2 days of a vehicle not being driven. We will not be recommending this place nor will be be back.
