Terrible Bank. Through their association with Revolut, Metropolitan Commercial Bank is wrongfully withholding money. They stopped working together and failed to notify me. So the money transferred to my old account instead of bouncing back to the sender is lost who knows where and revolut wouldn't do anything about it. I sent an email to their contact details, hopefully they'll give me my money back so I can change this review. Horrible way of behaving

Bad Bank. Through their association with Revolut, Metropolitan Commercial Bank is wrongfully withholding the balance in my account. Their agent says that if I want to close my account and receive a refund of the remaining balance, then first I must give them more money. So instead I filed a complaint with the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau and got to watch as Metropolitan Community Bank squirmed to explain themselves to the government. And now their co-conspirator, Revolut, has suspended some US operations.

I had 4,500 taken from my cash app from this bank... they remoted into my phone and my ex to "verify accounts" posing as customer support but actually linked a debit card ending in 1459 from this bank into our accounts and sent 4,499.99 from cash app to it... I called and someone answered and I asked if there was a fraud dept, they said no and hung up. They won't answer again.
They help steal money. Stay very far away. Taking this as high as I can.

Bank for fraudulent vendors. Tried contacting for assistance after wiring funds. No response no return calls. Next call is the treasury dept. Stay away!

I had a personal online account with Metropolitan Commercial Bank for a few years, until this summer when I finally moved my banking to a different bank. For the time I was a client of theirs, the service was mediocre, the online system was super antiquated and glitch-y, and the online banking app was pretty useless. But I put up with it all because of the $0 ATM fees. The real dissatisfaction and frustration came after I closed my account. The bank kept sending checks for recurring payments I had set up prior to closing the account, which resulted in multiple bounced checks and bounced check fees. It has been 2 months that I keep trying to resolve this issue with them to no avail! Their customer service had been very useless and uninterested in helping. I keep getting the run around with “that’s so strange” and the “let me transfer you” or I just keep getting no answers when I call, combined with “full voicemail” automated messages (during business hours) and unreturned voicemail messages. All in all, terrible bank, and terrible experience.. that is unfortunately not yet over for me. Wish I could give them negative stars.
