Stay away at all cost! This instution is very unfriendly. They causes more damage then anything. Me and my wife drove 2 hours to open a account with them because they was suppose to be one of the best credit unions but soon as my business received my first wire transfer they had a issue and closed my account claiming that Zelle had flagged me for fraud. Which I had told them that it was prior issue of a past client who made a claim of there card being used without there knowledge. I was the one who took the payment and it was made in front of me by the correct client so I refused to return the payment. This is why they closed my account without getting my side of the story. They told me that they will be next daying my money which was on Monday and I still have not received it and when I call up there I am getting the run around.

It really doesn't matter how much money you make. It doesn't matter how much deposits you have going in your account every week or two weeks or every month. If you need a loan for anything, they will not give it to you if you have one blemish on your record. I applied for a vehicle loan and just because I have a couple collections they refuse to give me the loan even though I told them that the vehicle was to help secure away from me to go back and forth to work to make money to pay off those loans. It is complete faults I advertisement when you see or hear an ad for this place saying that they do well for auto loans and mortgages when they don't give out anything.

Sad to be leaving this negative review after all the loans I've done through M1 and the loyalty and customer service I THOUGHT they'd have. I recently did my mortgage through them and MMS mortgage services. The mortgage went through and should have been an excellent experience. But instead I learned that a lender I have done business with for quite some time, has no problem with MMS LYING about fees they charge and what they are for. And yes, I have proof of their lying. After the mortgage was processed, I had hoped to reach out to M1 and speak to someone to get this resolved. Well I learned that money matters most and that they are completely ok with any of their business partners LYING to their customers. Again, I have actual proof of the lying. I fully expected M1 to be concerned about the issue and make attempts to get the matter resolved. Especially considering the LOYALTY I've shown them over the years. Needless to say, $521.00 was more important to M1 and MMS than a loyal customer. Let me state that again. a meagar $521.00 was more important to these financial institutions than rectifying a proven lie and keeping a customer. I'll never do business with the lender again. That is also the case for MMS. And if either want to take this to the next level, let's go. I have the necessary proof to show you blatantly and knowingly lied to me about a fee instead of just being honest and up front. That is something that matters to me and should to others looking for a mortgage or a trustworthy financial institution to work with. If honesty and being up front matters STAY AWAY FROM both these institutions. Even just a few hundred dollars is more important to these institutions than integrity and customer retention.

Their "major upgrade" in the spring of this year (2023) turned into a fiasco. People were unable to access their accounts, no forewarning of what to expect after the upgrade. I called the day after and was hung up on. The upgraded software is anything but an improvement. If you use a laptop to access your account, between your browser navigation bar and the M1 logo, it covers almost half the screen. There are better options out there to choose from as far as credit unions.

Steven Lowell and staff are amazing! I needed a car right away and they did not drag their feet to help me. They took the extra time to help unravel difficulties I was facing in needing a vehicle in such short notice. Wonderful team to work with.

Used to be a great credit union loved how easy it was to bank there. Not sure what happend but now all they want to get is fees. All about the dollar now. Cant even keep their word when it was not their customers fault. Will be switching to a different bank as soon as my card comes in.
