I can't say enough good things about Oregon State Credit Union! While exploring the beautiful landscapes of Oregon, I stumbled upon this gem of a bank, and it has been a fantastic experience. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, making banking feel welcoming and straightforward.

Stay away at all costs, I was a customer for over 10 years but no longer due to their broken payments system that won’t take online payments and then you’re forced to call in and make a payment then are charged $15 to do so. It all seems a little too planned to me and the current administration is way too fee and surcharge happy. Once a great credit union is now worse than actual banks.

I joined OSUFCU while a grad student at OSU in the early 2000's. I have maintained my banking with them since because they have made my international banking needs both secure and easy!

They make secure messaging from anywhere in the world possible. They are creative in making sure that I can access funds and prove my identity... and they know my name. They know my situation. They go above and beyond to help meet my needs even when it's a pain. They might not have all the add-ons of the giant banks, but they will do whatever they can to make sure YOU get what you need. I can't recommend them highly enough!

I have been a customer for Oregon State Credit Union since 2000 and I received a credit update from a 3rd party provider that my account was closed and credit cards cancelled. Oregon State Credit Union never once attempted to contact me, or inform me this was going to happen. They just closed my entire account and sent the money that was in my checking and savings accounts to the state! This is absolutely outrageous treatment, and the amount of hoops I have to jump through just to even see if I can receive my funds back is horrendous. Shame on you OSCU. BEWARE.

We financed a car through this credit union and had the loan paid off when we traded the car for another new purchase. There was a positiv balance left in the account which we just left alone. Everything is automated so I didn’t bother to open statements assuming we were “saving” the money anyway. Come to find out this place has been charging us a $5.00 inactive membership fee and a $3.00 single service fee for who knows how long to slowly deplete this account. When I called to close the account and transfer the funds I was met with an attitude and then deemed not verifiable because I didn’t remember the exact amount of the payment. Mind you I verified everything else. I was told I needed to come to a branch in person, which of course is miles away from where we live. My advice is don’t do business with them, excessive fees and poor customer service. It is my fault for not checking closer, didn’t think I had to I guess I had a false sense of security that a credit union was going to do the right thing. $8 of fees for being inactive on a savings account is excessive! I also didn’t deserve to be dismissed like that by the representative.

Update: A representative kindly reached out to me and resolved the issue which I greatly appreciated. They even offered to refund the fees. Thank you!
