Had to call the call center to complete my auto loan and spoke with Keshawn, was very helpful and make my phone experience so quick and smoothly.. all while being on my work lunch! Reasons why I don’t have my accounts elsewhere. 10/10!

As a member of this great FCU for twenty years, I've had transactions at about a half dozen branches, but this one has seen me the most often, and I can't ever remember a time the service here has been any less than five stars and first rate. They have helped me so many times and with more than several key transactions, since 2000, that I've lost count. That is remarkable in itself.

I have spent most of the last five years in San Diego County, so I had not been by here much since 2013, but with the coming of Coronapalooza™ and its WEF global craziness I was tied close to home. This branch is closest to home base, we've been in the area since 1957!

In my recent several visits here, there were all new faces, but I was delighted that there was no drop in quality. Omar was outside at the front door, handling all the "novel" distancing policies and making sure everything ran smoothly. I was in and out, but caught his name, as he was keenly intelligent in handling the difficult situation and especially supportive, in ways that can't be taught.

(When something like that stands out~ even in difficult times~ it deserves special notice as does his service. The other reps gave exemplary service as well.)

As usual!

I opened an account for my teenager over the weekend. I wanted to deposit a commission check, was helped by Nataly who made me feel like she was suspicious of me and my 14 yr old the whole time lol did not greet us w a smile, no customer service, dry & not very friendly PLUS acting like these checks don’t consistently get deposited in to MY account & acting like I haven’t been a member for a long time. Hence, me being so irked by the situation. She kept asking why I wouldn’t deposit it in to my account, asked how often I get commission checks which is none of her business. Someone else would say she might’ve been trying to start conversation but again she was dry as hell asking this. More of an interrogation than a friendly question. She also said my check had to be put on a SEVEN DAY HOLD for “large amount” when again these checks are consistently deposited into my account. Somehow she was able to let me get cash from that same check she seemed to be super suspicious about. I was not happy w her helping us at all but it was Saturday afternoon and I was tryna get in & out. I’m leaving this review because today I called customer service to explain my encounter and see if I could get a 2nd opinion. The rep I spoke to was just as confused as me & was able to release more funds. She also said she didn’t know why they would put a 7 day hold on it as these are consistent checks deposited. I honestly feel discriminated against & judged which is something I’ve never previously felt w SchoolsFirst ESPECIALLY not my neighborhood branch!!! I will not be accepting Nataly’s “help” next time even if that means waiting another hr!

Update: 11/12 - even worse, I wish that Nataly would have explained all the restrictions and things that came with a minor account. 0 explanation of anything & I am sooooo beyond irritated w my entire experience!

I come here often, would say it needs better work with some of the check in people, I've had a few awkward responses, sometimes smiling won't get you far especially if I can see through it, other than that it's okay for what it is, but not my favorite location
