I have had sunwest as my bank since 2009 and am not moving anytime soon because I love it. They had nice employees that I was always looking forward to go to incase I had to go in person but not anymore. I had my card compromised I never got help just got my card blocked and got a new one and that was it, given attitude and since my parents brought me well I held my peace unsatisfied I walked out. I get paid by check which has not been an issue but lately with the new employees they just give you a look then I have to confirm this and that despite me going to deposit in the same account for the past one year. I miss the old crew which was there 😪, I get goose bumps when I have to go there because I don't know what to expect but the assistant manager is awesome and thats why am rating with 4 . She took care of my compromised issue she listened to me and gave me the best customer service thank you 😊. when changing the employees don't change all at the same time because you never know you end up taking away the best crew without knowing. .

Every time my husband goes to deposit a check they question him, as if he is doing something wrong. Even when the check says where it’s from they are always so concerned about it. They ask where did he get this money and why did he get it? My husband says it’s the older white lady.
My husband looks and is Hispanic. And they never even give us a chance to get some of that money that same day even if we go in the morning, they make us wait DAYS to make sure it’s “legit” I’ve NEVER had problems with any other bank they have always tried to help and give us some money but since moving here and getting this bank they make it impossible!!! If I could give a NO star review I would. She judged him for looking Mexican. Racism!!!

DO NOT USE THIS CREDIT UNION. We have used Sunwest for over 8 years. Our account was compromised for the first time ever. When we called to let them know fraud had happened on our account, we were told and I QUOTE, "We do not deal with fraud anymore."
Would not refund any of the NSF fees associated with the fraud OR the fraud charges. Even with a police report!!
Don't put your hard earned money into a bank that says not our fault when your money gets illegally used. All I could do was laugh. The banker told my husband and I quote again "it wasn't our fault"
WHAT!?
All our other banks reversed the charges even without a police report.
It's very sad that we had our entire life savings ripped from us (stolen identity, all our money gone, credit cards, everything they took everything) and sunwest made the entire process so complicated and frustrating just to get our money back that was illegally used. Which they never did.

Update: they reversed a few NSF fees after going round and round with them. But never the actual FRAUD charges.

Sunwest is a great credit union! I've been with them for 10+ year's, they are always helpful when financing a vehicle or doing a personal loan. Always the most professional and polite when I go into any branch for service or speak with someone over the phone. I can't imagine being with any other financial institution. Sunwest is the best!

1-star rating: The decision to send me junkmail insurance offer each week. What a waste of paper. And there's no way I'll ever buy that insurance!

They were awesome when I opened my account in 2013. They even refinanced my vehicle. Now, they have all new staff and I do not like their customer service. I said "Good morning to the female that opened the door and got no response. Okay..that was rude. My card was stolen along with one of wallets so I requested a new card. The teller had to go ask for help on what to do. I was out in a timely matter but maybe they need new staff that is pleasant when you go in.

I went to here last week and was helped by Lydia Casas she was extremely rude,very unprofessional. She went out of her way to make me look stupid when we were talking acting like she knew everything, I actually had to talk to the manager and guess what, the whole time I was right. She made everything way more difficult than it had to be. If you want to go to a bank go to a different location for instance the one in surprise, way more nice and professional bankers

SunWest Federal Credit Union is absolutely the best banking decision we have ever made! Their customer service is amazing!! We have banked with them for over 5 years, and have never had anyting but good things to say about them. They value your membership and value you choosing to bank with them, which I have never felt with any big Bank! I am so glad we chose Sunwest, and suggest everyone else to do the same!!!
