My review is not for this specific location but for the credit union as a whole. I have never had so many issues trying to get permission to use my money. Every time I leave the state, my account is frozen for fraudulent activity (because I left the state not because any fraudulent activity occurred!) I leave the state often and the bank does not use an algorithm to track if going to Illinois often should flag fraudulent activity. Getting gas, getting dinner small transactions are freezing the account. To make it worse they call my husband every time rather than calling me (the card user and primary on the account). They ask you to call every time you leave the state to prevent this. When I went to a foreign country I placed a travel notification on the account and I was STILL left with no access to money. I was 12 hours ahead of the time zone of the location of their offices so I was unable to unfreeze the account and again they contacted my husband rather than the card user and he was sleeping since I was on a 12 hour time difference. Unable to use any money in a foreign country.
Debit card transactions are maxed out at $2K per transaction. So if you plan to buy anything over $2K, you must ask for permission. Even when I asked them to lift this so I could make the large purchase in the moment, the debit card STILL did not work and they blocked the purchase.
Debit Cards: Don't ever make the mistake of losing it because you won't get a new one for well over 2 weeks. I was baffled by the amount of time it took to get a replacement card. They do not have a card maker at their locations, I presume it is only at the one in Bay City hence why it took almost 3 weeks! I even asked if they could UPS it rather than use snail mail and my request was denied. Again, unable to access money for almost 3 weeks!
Debit cards do not offer Tap To Pay
This bank is antiquated, the frustration and lack of empathy or solutions is disappointing. I presume they don't have the financing or the power to makes changes to these everyday, basic financial freedoms we should have on our own accounts.

This has now happened to me twice! I called to activate a new card. I followed all the prompts with all the correct information. I then got a response to say “we can no longer provide information on this account, please call the credit union” however ALL branches are closed as it was a Sunday. So called account access line and got through to PAL. Put in my info, and it said they couldn’t access my account and would transfer me to a customer service rep. I think oh good…NOPE! Sorry all branches are closed. So basically for no reason at all they froze my account then gave me no way to access someone to help me resolve it because it was a Sunday and a holiday the next day. So basically my account was held hostage until it was convenient for them. No emergency number or off hours contact unless I wanted to talk to a third party who can only lock or cancel a card if it is lost or stolen. I have security questions and a security password on my account. lots of ways to show it is my account if given the opportunity. My branch is great, love the people there, but this CU has terrible online or phone services. I can’t believe they offer no assistance off hours but can just completely freeze access to my account without reason. I can appreciate it if for security reasons or suspicious reasons, but….THEN GIVE ME SOME WAY TO RESOLVE IT! Don’t think it is okay for someone to be without access to their money and account for 3 days, or even one day!
